The intensity of the education experience throughout the three years varies from rotation to rotation. Typically, the first   year is most demanding. Regardless of rotational demands and schedules, residents are expected to adhere to certain standards of performance. These include attendance at all mandatory conferences and seminars, punctual attendance at Family Practice Center clinics, behavior consistent with a medical professional, attitudes conducive to effective teamwork, comprehensive, responsible care to Family Medicine Center patients, ethical behavior, and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, University Medical Center Hospital, the Family Medicine Residency, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the American Board of Family Medicine.
